TourTurf® MolCarb is an organic product and approved for organic farming. It is a rich source of complex sugars, carbon, enzymes, micronutrients and B-vitamins. Carbohydrates for turf can be used as an energy source for the soil microorganisms in order to increase microbial activity. Complex sugars can substitute for missing photosynthesis compounds otherwise produced by the turfplants themselves.

Molasses are a by-product of sugar production. TourTurf® MolCarb is made of byproducts from organic sugar cane. After simple sugars and salts are removed, complex sugars and micronutrients make up molasses, which is the perfect combination of carbohydrates for turf treatments.

The product contains 50% Carbohydrates, 4% Potassium and has a low pH of 5.

Complex sugars are a very important food source for soil microorganisms. Under ideal conditions the plant excretes a lot of plant sugars encouraging a big population of beneficial naturally occurring indigenous soil microbes.

Plant stress like limited sunlight, traffic, low cut and low fertility can limit the plants carbohydrate production. Supplying the soil life with additional sugars can ensure added microbial activity, suppression of turf pathogens and added resistance against soil borne disease.
