TourTurf® EDC Respond® Extreme Dew Control is a blend of polymeric surfactants, emulsifiable surfactants and wetting agents.
Surface dew and light frost can be problematic as moisture on the leaf can provide the ideal habitat for diseases such as Fusarium Patch Disease and Dollar Spot.
Respond® EDC is a very cost-effective method of removing dew compared to labour intensive switching. The new formulation of TourTurf® Respond® Extreme Dew Control is foliar applied.
The surfactant and wetting agent formulation reduces the accumulation of the dew by lowering the surface tension of the water when it comes into contact with the leaf blade. The surfactants have a strong binding capacity which help stick the product to the leaf blade.
In house and external trials have confirmed the dew dispersal product can achieve up to 10 days control in the ideal conditions. However, in non-ideal conditions such as wet turf when applied, heavy rainfall and frequent mowing the dew may be dispersed for a reduced period, typically 3-5 days.

TourTurf® EDC Respond® Extreme Dew Control can also prevent moss ingress (invasion) and lead to a reduction of disease problems caused by pathogenic fungi as the turf surface is kept as dry as possible by regular use of the product in high disease pressure periods.
