TourTurf® Organic High N is an organic NK-fertiliser. The nitrogen (N) is derived from circular economy waste products that still have a high protein- and organic carbon residue, that is breaking down in the rootzone to consistently release nitrogen to the soil. The product is approved for the use in organic farming. This dust-free, homogeneous granular has a low odour and spreads very evenly. Use Organic High N to give consistent colour to turf, improve soil structure and stimulate soil microbes.
Due to the high levels of organic matter, when applied to soil, the microbial populations will be stimulated to break down the organic proteins. This will release nitrogen, which is steadily made available to the plants, whilst simultaneously adding carbon to the soil, enriching the humic content and improving its structure.
Additionally, this increased microbial stimulation will naturally activate grassroots to release exudates which in turn will release other soil-bound nutrients, such as phosphate and other micronutrients.
This product is made of, among others, circular ingredients such as: plant residues, including extracts of vinasse, meal from cocoa shells and pressed grape seeds.

Product details
The overall effect will be one of steady release and gradual soil and plant fertility supply, which will ensure good nutrient use efficiency, resulting in minimised leaching and greater rooting structures.
Organic High N is purposefully designed to be used on any outfield area of sports turf or indeed lawns and other areas of grass. It is a highly versatile and environmentally friendly product.
Through the application of TourTurf® Organic High N the ‘circular economy’ is achieved by recycling waste product in a safe and highly beneficial method, to replenish land fertility and capture carbon from the cycle.
Carbon:
About 50% of a plant is made up of carbon, mostly synthesised from CO2 during photosynthesis. Carbon is the basis for all building blocks of life and essential for healthy soils.

Amino acids / Proteins:
Amino acids are the building blocks for plant proteins. The plant will combine amino acids to form peptide chains and later complex proteins. All the processes in the plant like tissue development, growth, recovery from injury and self-defence require proteins.The turf plant can synthesise all the needed amino acids from the mineral nutrients it takes in. But the plant can absorb amino acids through the roots as well, saving the energy to produce them itself, especially in times of plant stress. Over time, microorganisms in the rootzone will break down proteins into amino acids and amino acids into their components, making nitrogen readily plant available.
